APPROPRIATING $31,277 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS,
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION IN
THE NO. 162 STATE AND FEDERAL GRANT FUND FOR THE
CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE CRIME ANALYSIS UNIT;
TRANSFERRING $20,451 FROM THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND
AND APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 162 STATE AND
FEDERAL GRANTS FUND AS THE CITY MATCH FOR THE
CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE CRIME ANALYSIS UNIT;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $31,277 is appropriated from the State of Texas, Office of the Governor,
Criminal Justice Division for the continued operation of the Crime Analysis Unit in the No. 162
State and Federal Grants Fund.
SECTION 2. That $20,451 is transferred from the No. 102 General Fund and appropriated
as the City's match for the continued operation of the Crime Analysis Unit in the No. 162 State and
Federal Grants Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this ordinance is _passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the i4, day of C , 1997.

requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two

finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
