HomeMy WebLinkAbout023134 ORD - 11/18/1997ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ALL REVENUE RECEIVED FROM ADMISSION FEES FOR THE KOKORO DINOSAUR EXHIBIT (EXHIBIT) [ESTIMATED TO BE $120,0001 IN THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 022993 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 97-98 BUDGET BY ADDING APPROXIMATELY $120,000 TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND; AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF APPROXIMATELY $120,000 TO THE FRIENDS OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY (FRIENDS) IN CONSIDERATION OF THE FRIENDS PAYING ALL EXPENSES RELATED TO THE EXHIBIT AND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MUSEUM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. IT IS ORDAINED BY THE CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS CITY COUNCIL: SECTION 1. That all revenue received from admission fees for the Kokoro Dinosaur Exhibit, approximately $120,000, is appropriated in the No. 102 General Fund. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.022993, which adopted the FY 97-98 budget is amended by increasing the No. 102 General Fund appropriation by approximately $120,000. SECTION 3. That approximately $120,000 is transferred from the No. 102 General Fund to the Friends of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History in consideration of the Friends paying all expenses related to the Exhibit and for the benefit of the Museum. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that th's ordinance isypassed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /,Vti ) day of �/ /-PO/14.a , 1997.
