HomeMy WebLinkAbout023177 ORD - 12/23/1997ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING S455,755 FROM THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE; AMENDING ORDINANCE 022993, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY97-98 BUDGET, BY ADDING 5455,755 TO THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND TO MAKE THE LAVACA NAVIDAD RIVER AUTHORITY FY97-98 DEBT SERVICE PAYMENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $455,755 is hereby appropriated from the Combined Utility Systems Unreserved Fund Balance. SECTION 2. That Ordinance 022993, which adopted the FY1997-98 Budget, is hereby amended by adding $455,755 to the Combined Utility Systems Fund to make the Lavaca Navidad River Authority FY97-98 debt service payments. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs. such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the cR 3(C) day of hG (' (^ Yrl l ( `t i , 1997.
