Federal (TB/PC-FED)grant in the amount of $48,345 with a City match of $9,669 to
provide tuberculosis prevention and control services.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi,Texas:
Section 1: The City Manager or designee and/or Director of Public Health is
authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept an amendment to a grant
contract for the Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Federal (TB/PC-FED) grant from
the Texas Department of State Health Services in the amount of $48,345, for the
contract period of January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019, to provide
tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control services with an in-kind grant match of
$9,669, provided through the salary of a registered nurse working the TB clinic and
paid by Nueces County, for a total project cost of $116,028.
Section 2: That the increased grant amount of $116,028, is appropriated in the No.
1066 Health Grants Fund to continue the TB/PC-FED grant in the Health Department.
Section 3: The amendment includes revisions to Section 4, Budget; Section I. G. of
Attachment A, Statement of Work; Section Ill. A. of Attachment A, Statement of Work;
and Section III. B. of Attachment A, Statement of Work. The amendment adds
Attachment B-1, FY 2019 Budget; Section IV of Attachment A, Statement of Work; and
Section 1.16 of Attachment D, Supplement and Special Conditions.
Section 4: The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute any future
amendments to the grant contract which extend the contract period or increase or
decrease the amount of the grant. A copy of the executed grants shall be filed in the
office of the City Secretary.

Comments: Acceptance of the grant funds requires that the City of Corpus Christi contribute a grant
match of 20% ($9,669.00) of the grant total of $48,345. The 20% Grant Match required by grant
(=$9,669.00) will be satisfied by 20% of the annual salary of Public Health Nurse in the TB Clinic whose
salary is paid for the County of Nueces General Fund.
