A motion was made by Mr. Sweeney and second by Ms. Harlan to approve the minutes for the March 7,2016 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Ms. Gregory will have an updated report on sponsors and grant funding next month. Peoples Street is missing 4 signs and three poles to designate 2 hour parking areas,to start issuing citations on that street. Captain Breedlove will contact Ray Chong of Traffic Engineering to get an estimate and find out if he has the budget to cover the costs. Mr. Sweeney gave a presentation of a bike share program which is an easily accessable and affordable leasing of bikes that are used for short distances. A company named Zagster specializes in leasing to corporate organizations and will provide the bikes with a lease for three years, will contract with local bike shops to do maintenance and will provide the platform, software and website to execute the program under a 3 year lease. DMD gets 93%of the revenue that comes in but it is only 15%of the actual cost of the program so it should go back into the bike share fund to help sustain the program. Sweeney asked the PAC to become a sponsor of the bike share program with a contribution of$10,000 per year, paid in advance for three years. Ms. Crider made a motion and a second by Samantha to recommend we invest$30,000 in the bike share program, payable when the lease with Zagster is signed.which will be full payment for three years in advance;motion passed unanimously. Berardo requested the uptown curbs be repainted to help the public differentiate between parking and no parking areas along curbs. Captain Breedlove will check with the Traffic Engineering Department to see whose budget the paint comes out of and hopefully get volunteers to do the labor. Mr. Catalano will get a definitive location for the additional beach walk parking North Beach is requesting for Ms. Gregory to try to meter those areas in North Beach.
