The meeting was called to order by Ms. Gregory at 5:42 pm.
A motion was made by Mr. Durham and second by Ms. Crider to approve the minutes for the April 4,2016 meeting;
motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Gregory did not have any updates on Grant Funding. North Beach is working on their sponsorship.
Proper signage for People Street will be addressed soon, the area has already been surveyed. Capt. Breedlove
announced the purchase of the signs and poles will have to wait untill next year's budget.
The painting of uptown curb's cost is $100 every 5 gallons of paint. Capt. Breedlove will confirm if this purchase
can be done this year or if it will have to wait until next year's budget. Ms.Gregory will coordinate with Terry to see
how many gallons of paint are needed for the downtown area and with Mr. Cantu for the amount of gallons needed
for the uptown area. Mr. Cantu will draft a map to show the uptown area.
Mr. Catalano did not attend so we couldn't get an update on additional beachwalk parking.
Mann parking lot leasee made a request to lease the 36 remaining slots in that lot. Their initial lease proposed they
pay$2,000 a year with the expectiations to create 50 jobs for three years and make lot improvements. The price for
the additional 36 slots was proposed at $3,000. The downside is those spaces wouldn't be available for public
parking. A motion was made by Ms. Gregory and second by Ms. Harlan to recommend the remaining 36
Mann parking slots be added to the current lease agreement for another year; motion passed unanimously.
The parking management plan-RFP has been extended from May Stn to May 23rd for bids. A question addressed to
the board is do improvements need to be funded. Staff team will review everything and make a recommendation to
the reinvestment zone board.
Light up CC will hopefully be complete by August or September if everything goes as planned per Ms. Gregory.
Items to be placed on the next agenda:
a. Proper signage on People Street-Ms.Harlan(Action Item)
b. Painting of uptown curbs-(Action Item)—Berardo
c. Additional beach walk parking-Mr. Catalano
d. Light Up CC—Updates as to what City Council discussed-Darlene
e. Parking Management Plan RFP—Alyssa

Public Comment: Carrie Meyer with NBCA would like to work with PD to paint the curbs in North Beach. There
is a missing double meter between the Lexington Aquarium and the Beach Hotel. Mr. Catalano will propose an idea
for improvements in the North Beach area and will bring a written proposal next month.
Ms. Gregory adjourned the meeting at 6:09 pm.
