HomeMy WebLinkAbout031730 RES - 04/09/2019 Page 1 of 2 Resolution rejecting the apparent low bid of Cintas Corporation and the apparent second low bid of Draco Fire and Safety, LLC as non- responsive and authorizing a five-year service agreement for fire extinguishers annual maintenance and inspection with IFS Fire and Safety Inc., of Corpus Christi, Texas, as the lowest responsive bidder, for an amount not to exceed $153,175.50. WHEREAS, the City solicited bids through Request for Bids No. 1886 ("RFB 1886") for a five-year service agreement for annual maintenance and inspection of fire extinguishers; and WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder on RFB 1886, Cintas Corporation, failed to provide the required documentation of certification to provide this service as part of the bid; and WHEREAS, the apparent second low bidder on RFB 1886, Draco Fire and Safety, LLC, failed to meet the minimum requirements of the bid in that the company did not show that it had the required minimum years of experience for the service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The apparent low bids submitted by Cintas Corporation and Draco Fire and Safety, LLC, are rejected as non-responsive. SECTION 2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute a five-year service agreement for fire extinguishers annual maintenance and inspection with IFS Fire and Safety Inc., of Corpus Christi, Texas, as the lowest responsive bidder, for an amount not to exceed $153,175.50.
