Chairman Cabasos called the meeting to order and asked if everyone had reviewed the minutes
for the July 13, 2006 meeting and asked for a motion to approve. On a motion by Mr. Cooper, seconded
by Mr.Cabasos,the minutes were unanimously approved.
The Oil and Gas Advisory Committee proceeded to view the Open Meetings Training video to
complete the requirements of SB 286.
Mr.Cabasos asked if there was any other business and Mr. Cantu told the Committee that he was
contacted by a local property owner that G.C.E.A.,LLC the owner of seven(7)wells is operating with an
expired lease for two of the wells. The property owner is seeking to have these wells plugged and
abandoned. Mr. Cantu also informed the Committee that the seismic survey being conducted at Mustang
Island has begun without incident. There being no other business,the meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
