Home My WebLink About031887 ORD - 10/01/2019 Ordinance amending the Urban Transportation Plan map of MobilityCC, a transportation element of the City's Comprehensive Plan, to remove a portion of the extension of Carroll Lane on the south/east side of the Kostoryz/Carroll Drainage Ditch as requested by Corpus Christi Independent School District and related to the development of a new high school campus. WHEREAS, the Transportation Advisory Commission and Planning Commission have forwarded to the City Council its recommendation concerning the amendments to the Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, regarding amendments to the Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Plan map, during which all interested persons were allowed to appear and be heard; WHEREAS, City Council held a public hearing on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, regarding amendments to the Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Plan map, during which all interested persons were allowed to appear and be heard; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that these amendments would best serve public health, necessity, and convenience, and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi, and its citizens; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Plan map of MobilityCC, an element of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (the "Comprehensive Plan"), is amended to eliminate Carroll Lane from the south/east side of the Kostoryz/Carroll Drainage Ditch within the proposed high school site, as shown in the attached Exhibit A. SECTION 2. To the extent the amendments made by this ordinance represent a deviation from the Comprehensive Plan, the Comprehensive Plan is amended to conform to the amendments made by this ordinance. SECTION 3. The Comprehensive Plan, as amended from time to time and except as changed by this ordinance, remains in full force and effect. SECTION 4. Any ordinance or part of any ordinance in conflict with this ordinance is expressly repealed by this ordinance. SECTION 5. The City Council intends that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance be given full force and effect for its purpose. Therefore, if any section, paragraph, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, that judgment shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance. SECTION 6.
