III. Adoption of Minutes for Meetings of January 4&January 25,2010

N. Business for Discussion with Possible Action
o Mission and goals- The strategic plan for Pride/Clean City.will be presented to Council on March
23,2010. R. Garza advised team to attend if schedule allowed. Team requested info on Litter
Critters. M.Mcleod Sawyer advised that missing in Mission Statement is key terms education
irations&communication. Team was asked to review proposed RMsentation and provide
feedback to A.Rowe by 2126110
o Media/Communication Sub Committee report-Will D./Stacy/Michelle/Angeii--&Richards
Misdated Group on pitching a"Have you noticed section"for the Caller Times,where we would
highlight beauty spots of the month, who is participating in clean ups, etc. On pridecc.com-A.
Rowe advised that there are$$$ for enhancements.hoping to add phone numbers, etc. Website

o Pride Partner requirements, current Pride Partners- Stacy Richards/Angeii—S. Richards
advised the Team that clearer reguirements should be made of"Pride Partners."And to update the
list on pridecc.com-perhaps in a Gold, Silver, &Bronze level. Local merchant"Fine Jewelry
Outlet"advised the_gxoup of a raffle he was conducting in partnership with Beautify Corous Christi.
o Picky Pete Updates-none
o Boat Show/Kite Surfing Championship and support-4/22-4/25-S. Richards advised that she
would like to see the Pride Team get behind local events such as this one due to the economic intact
for the City. Kristi Pena, the PR person for the Boat Show was on hand to explain Boat show
lo%dsfics,including an Art Contest for the local schools and their intent to turn,the Boat Show into a
community event.
o Adopt a Park-Ryan Griffith-advised the group on this onaortunity. J. Chrobo advised that
Beautify CgWus Christi had recently adopted the Orion's Belt median. Action item is for group to
check out different areas to potentially adopt by next month's Meeting. M.Minuta lio asked for
dramatic impact in a small area.. A. Rowe advised the grout) of Associated Builder's and
Contractor's intentions to help with the Cole Park_Amphitheater and Pride could Possibly adopt the
terrace on the side of the Amphitheater.
o Neighborhood Initiative Program and Pride attendance-Stacy Richards-encouraged Pride
Team to attend these meetings.There are over 23 sties and one model block area. They are currently_
in the sustainability Rhase called Pride. There is funding for possible reconstructing of some areas
according to D. Zertuche Garza
o Adopt Downtown—4/10/10-Michelle Peters/Angeii—meeting with partners are underway.
o Discuss bios and recruiting efforts of board vacancy- Angeii—recommendations will be made
at the next board meeting to fill Evonne Gottsch's place.
V. Identify agenda items to be placed on next agenda:
o Pride Team is to scope parks and submit ideas
o Review bios of potential board members and send top 3 to A.Rowe for discussion and action
at next meeting
o Review mission and goals,provide feedback to A. Rowe by 2125/10
