III. Adoption of Minutes for Meetings of March 29,2010

III. Public Comment :Please be advised that the Open Meetings Act prohibits the committee from responding and discussing your
comments at length. The law only authorizes members to make a statement of factual information, recite an existing policy in response to
the inquiry,or advise the citizen that this subject will be placed on an agenda at a later date.
Notes: Ellen FehrenkUm presented pictures of seagull mascots.possibly for future Corpus Gus ride
events. During the week of July 7 Corpus Gus will have a presence at the Carpus Christi Art Center.
Carrie Robertson, who sits on the Parks &Recreation Advisory Committee showed photos of overflowing
trash cans at the 2010 International Board show and overflowing cans at North Beach.
IV. Business for Discussion with Possible Action
• Solidify Adopt a Park/Median location: R.Griffith and S.Richards moved to adopt Old City Hall
Park as their official gite. M. MinutavJio ggposed.
• RTA Southside Endeavor-Karina Paris, RTA: Addressed PRIDE regarding a JARC grant for a new
Southside Express route,#354 A day WR, round trip from the Southside to downtown-is $2.50,gas
prices are currently at$2.69 per gallon. K.Paris advised that they would like to do a`Breakfast with
the B" event at Ctfy Hall to promote this route and ridership. The Committee asked that A. Rowe
ensure that the RTA had PRIDE's co=lete su rt on this initiative.
• CC Chamber's Small Business Development Council-Dan Garza,,Reel Simple Solutions:
Addressed PRIDE on Chamber's-initiatives on-"shopping locall, 'through their small business
development council. D. Garza expressed interest in having a presence at the next PRIDE event, if
possible.
* Mayor's Fitness Council Support: Cinia Montoya.owner and founder of"Fit and Free by the Sea"
addressed the group about an Mporning event on May 22: a-cityndde initiative aimed at tinla
Corpus Chrisd off the Men's Health Magazin. "Fattest 013list. C.Montoya advised that she had
been contacting several individuals including: Jaime Oliver, the first lady Michelle Obama for a
potential live telecast from the event. The website is www.fitandfreebythesea.com
* Website Subcommittee Report: K.Davidson§h=d the webpage's new design with the goup.
* Recommendation for Pride vacancy: The Committee decided to go ahead with previous
recommendations for J. Chrobocinski's vacancy" Christina Hernanez-Planned Parenthood or
Brandon Cunningham-the Bay Art Fellowship.

Adopt a Beach: A. Rowe reported on the teams successes: 430- participants in Adopt DTown.
presence with Clean City partners at EDBD and Adopt a Beach partners included Kostoryz
Elementary's Green Team,who A.Rowe will be addressing mid May.
