III. Adoption of Minutes for Meetings of April 26,2010

comments at length. The law only authorizes members to make a statement of factual information, recite an existing policy in response to
the inquiry, or advise the citizen that this subject will be placed on an agenda at a later date.

IV. Business for Discussion with Possible Action
• Mayors Fitness Council Logo-Father Joseph Lopez-Catholic Diocese &Tim Fitzpatrick-Athletic Director
for TAM UCC discussed that the MFC voted to keep the same spirit and feel as Mayor's other projects
and to adopt logo similar to PRIDE's with the word "HEALTHY"In its place.

• Municipal Maintenance Agreement Update- Martin Horst-TxDOT Area Engineer, Nueces County stated
that TxDOT is working with Mayor Adame and the Assistant City Managers on an updated agreement.
As of committee date, nothing had been set. This agreement was established by state law in 1983 and
holds unchanged across the state The PRIDE team asked that we receive a copv of the release of
liability as soon as changes are agreed upon and take affect.
City Council Update- Rudy Garza briefed the group on July being the Cites budget month. The City is
currently in a$16 million. The PRIDE coordinator position was saved,but after much debate.
Bold Future Deliverable- Margie Rose advised that PRIDE has an action item. The City has 91-92
deliverables. We're one of many partners Included in beach clean up events with partners in Port Aransas
and Nueces County. W. Douglas agreed to be PRIDE liaison. The PRIDE Team hopes to have one of the
quarterly clean ups be a designated beach clean up event.
* "Peaches' Pride" Clean Up{Dist. 1&2)-Angela Rowe and Al"Peaches" Gonzales- agenda item was
dulled as Mr. Gonzales was unable to make PRIDE meeting.
* Tour of Homes Clean Up (Dist. 5)-Garrett Dorsey advised that Oct. 23 would be the date of a clean up
effort coordinated by Green Build Coalition,working with Hogan Homes and Bart Braselton. Most of the
homes showcased are along Rodd Field and population in that area are.greenminded. G.Dorsey asked for
PRIDE's endorsement and assistant marketing event.

* Mokry/Kostoryz Clean Up(Dist. 3)-Latricia Chapa briefed PRIDE on the area of McArdle,SPID, Kostorvz
and Carroll Lane. Businesses int hat area are not cleaning up and there are lots of senior citizens unable
to clean up their areas. W.Douglas suggested talking to churches in area and will get contact for
Maranthia Church. 0. Carmona will assist on getting Carroll High School Info. A. Rowe will follow up with
L. Chapa with future clean ups.
Adopt A Park- Ran Griffith advised that he and A. Rowe u dated the maintenance agreement on Old
City Hall Park and will be making weekly recon trips to the park to ascertain needs.
• Buc Days Graffiti Ban- Ryan Griffith advised that he was still pursuing_the_subiect of tape and-paint on
sidewalks and streets.
• Shop/Play/Fly Locally- Ryan Griffith advised that he attended the Chamber of Commerce's Small
Business Advisory meeting and was well received. So much so,that he ended up giving a presentation (15
mini on PRIDE's efforts. More follow up to be made on this deliverable.
• Plastic Bag Ban and Recycling-Will Douglas&Stacy Richards. Group moved to delay sublect until we
can stet 5urfrider Foundation to Present their"Skip the Plastic"initiative.
• Corpus Gus Updates-Ellen Fehrenkamp-sent email to PRIDE team on Corpus Gus updates.
