III. Adoption of Minutes for Meetings of July 26, 2010

111. Public Comment :Please be advised that the Open Meetings Act prohibits the committee from responding and discussing your
comments at length. The law only authorizes members to make a statement of factual information,recite an existing policy in response to
the inquiry, or advise the citizen that this subject will be placed on an agenda at a Iater date.

IV. Business for Discussion with Possible Action
* Updates on upcoming events/Coordinator's Report-Angela Rowe updated PRIDE on outstanding
protects for PRIDE, Clean City and the Mayor's Fitness Council. Chair Sawyer would like updates
occasionally_
* Quarterly Clean Ups/Revisit Goals- Monica McLeod Sawyer wished to review goals of PRIDE team. M.
Rose suggested putting clean ups in policy form as to create consistency. Listing what cleanups are
about, what they entail, establish outcomes related to clean ups. Then forms&o to Council to ensure
tit wide participation and structure. Submit for public record. Citizens should know when clean ups are
coming. M. Minutaglio restated the need for creating awareness of PRIDE, implementing cultural
behavioral shits and accomplishing beautification efforts. R
A. R. Griffith moved to formally adopt TWO signature events in Spring/Fall: Adopt Downtown &CC
Clean Sweep
B. O. Carmona seconded
C. Motion carried.
Buc Days Graffiti Updates- Ryan Griffith, PRIDE &O.Carmona meeting with Barry Box, BucARaiders this
week to discuss updated gwade routes.
* Adopt A Park Updates- Ryan Griffith PRIDE &A. Rowe still working on updates to Old it Hall Park.
* PRIDE Committee Additions- Ryan Griffith, PRIDE made motion to strengthen PRIDE Board by 2. M.
Peters seconds Motion carries. A. Rowe to work on modification to ordinance. Will have to be approved
by City Council.
* Website Tutorial/Print Media Update- Monica McLeod Sawyer walked PRIDE through a brief tutorial of
www.pridecc.com Website and will email group tutorial and list of passwords so that all can update
website.
V. Identify agenda items to be placed on next agenda: Surfrider Four ati n "Sig:p the Plastic"presentation.,
Clean City's Speaker's Bureau presentation: Dempster Screens.
