A. Report from Outreach Coordinator on Community Initiatives -
Celina Pulcher distributed and discussed a report on what other Committees are
doing in the community. There was discussion on the definition of what the Pride
Committee did as compared to what the Clean City Committee did. Lawrence
explained that the PRIDE assisted with the RecycleBank program, getting it through
City Council and the Clean City works with Recycling outreach programs. Bob's goal is
to see how all three can work together, including Beautify Corpus Christi. One of the
items that Solid Waste will be working on is inlet protection with Clean City, which
Pride can also assist in. Lily asked if there were opportunities to offer different types
of awards other than Green & Clean which was discussed with the group. It was
decided that they would look further into other avenues.
In addition, Celina handed out a calendar of events that were coming up for the
committee to assist with. Adopt-A-Beach clean-up, Ice Rays games, the Texas Jazz

B. Review and re-establish subcommittee participation -
The Committee decided to table this discussion until next month when they can get
a clear list of which member resides where. There was a suggestion that there be a
change to the Green & Clean Subcommittee to an Awards Subcommittee. Criselda
said she would like to work on the Agnes-Laredo Corridor Subcommittee. Bill would
like to work on the awards subcommittee. Mike asked about changing the Agnes-
Laredo subcommittee to RePridealization Sub.

Pete program. The afterschool program in located at Incarnate Word from 3 —5pm,
Monday thru Friday. An initial presentation needs to be done and then their
counselors can help to continue the program. Celina explained that there has been a
problem trying to get bracelets from the sponsors. Mike Munoz said he would try to
make contact with Georganne Gasoway and see about the bracelets.
There was discussion about how to get the program out further into the community
and the Committee would like to see about getting some color sheets for the kids.
