Airport Advisory Board Meeting
September 22, 1980
A meeting of the Airport Advisory Board was held in the airport manager's office on
September 22, 1980. The following were in attendance: Hayden Head; chairman;
Pete Corona, Dick Bowers, Pauline Glasson, and Clarence Priour, members; Stan Hall,
Texas International; Bob Snodgrass, Braniff Airways; Nancy Harrington, Southwest
Airlines; William D. Wilder, Airport Manager; and John Pinson, Assistant Airport
Manager.
fir. Head called the meeting to order at 11: 00 a.m. Mrs. Glasson moved, seconded by
Clarence Priour, that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written.
The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Wilder presented die proposed terminal building improvement plans as presented to
the City Council on September 17 by Cotten and Landreth Architects. Mr. Bowers made
the motion that the Airport Advisory Board recommend to the City Council that the
terminal building improvement plans be approved. Mrs. Glasson seconded the motion and
it passed unanimously.
Mr. Wilder reported that he had received written request from ASAP Air Freight Company
for permission to use the airfield. They propose to fly Nomad airplanes and operate
from Gault Aviation. Mrs. Glasson moved, seconded by Clarence Priour, that the
Airport Advisory Board recommend to the City Council that ASAP be granted an airfield
use lease agreement. The motion passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 11: 15 a.m.
