Shell, Administrative Aide A P P ELqV_AL The meeting was called to order at 3 :30 P.M. Mr. Beecroft moved to accept the minutes as corrected. Mr. Wallace seconded the motion . ti an approved. DIRECTOW_SREPORT A. construction Status Report : Victor Gutierrez revipwpd project Status report . ( I )Access contil-ol system installed in the access control room. ( 2 )Taxiway "All overlay, is progressing. Late tleis week they will, start, on north end nt Vh:. runway. (3)Bids received on Boiler/Cooling. Tower. Anticipate award of contract 7-22--92 . ( 4 ) Phase I Asbestos abatement , rplatpd to the Cooling Tower replacement, to be bid 7-22-92 . Anticipate award of contract 7-28-92 . ( 5)Roofing project completed frr all airline offices, lounge and west concourse . Work in baggage r3 aim area now at 50% mark. (6 )Bids received for Airfield Mainteiianrr- Building. Should award contract 7-28-92. (7 )Bid opening for Parking Lot Revenue Control will be 7-22-92. Status Report: Bonnie Al n handed out a report showing recent accomplishments for the operations section. C P Progress : The Director is working on a draft to send to the City Manager. The report should be sent to him sometime in August and on it Council agenda by the end of August . TENANT C 4ERNTS Chip Luttrell of Page Avjet told committee of new fuel recovery system they just purchased . Roy Mayo of Sn"thwest Airliner. stated that Herb Kelleher says airlines goal is to pay off $25n million debt by end of year . John Gravell of Hedrick Beerharaft says American Pilot Career Institute has expanded by 8 planes and has students from out of the United States . ACTION 1-ITIEMS A. Mr . Hammonds made a motion to recommend approval of f3ve projects : Boiler/Cooling Tower construction contract; Airfield Maintenance Building construction contract; Change Order No . I for Tower Cab and Tower Building of Improvements; Parking Lnl, Revenue Control System construction contract; recommend approval of Phase I Asbestos Abatement related to Cooling Tower prn)prt ; and approval of Computer purchases for aviation department. Mi . Lundgren seconded the motion. Motion passed . COMMITTEE BUSINJUM Mr. Pedrotti commented to the Aviation Department staff how courteous and helpful the parking lot employees are . Mr . Pedrotti stated he had discussed the Committee ' s annual report with the Mayor and she suggested he contact each onnnail member individually. Each council member was contacted. Mr. Guerrero was mailed a copy of the report. A request to the •ivy Secretary is being sent to have the report included on the CLty council agenda for August . Ms . Sylvia Gulley stated she had contacted Mr. Bill Pruett of tho Visitors and convention Bureau about packaging of Corpus Qhrtyt i . She inquired as to the status of it progress . Mr. Pruett said they had not one anything. They have been too busy witk ntW projects . She also said she had sent a copy of the letter nan had sent to Southwest Airlines , and asked My . Roy Hayn, if thr- letter had been discussed at the Bureaus ' s last oommittpE meeting . It had not. Ms . Sylvia Gulley nominated Mr. Dan Pedrotti to continne a:-� chairman for the Committee for next year . Mr . Emptson P11 I seconded the motion. motion approved. Mr . Dan Pedvotti nominated Ms . Sylvia Gulley to continue An vin-z Chairman for the Committee for next year. Mr. Wallace Lundgren seconded the motion . Motion approved. Meeting Adjourned at 5 : 00 PH.
