1. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Dr. Barbara Whitlock at 12:30 p.m.
2. Discussion,review,and possible approval of amendments to City Ordinance for stray/hold period
Dr. Barbara Whitlock states that the ordinance for the stray hold period needs to be updated in order to remain in
compliance with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to vaccinate upon intake. Vaccinations would
exclude Lepto and Rabies vaccines. Dr.Barbara Whitlock presents the City Ordinance Solutions for Animal
Shelters by Texas Veterinaryv Medical Association Director of Government Relations/General Counsel Elizabeth
Choate, JD.Heather Hedrick presents a proposal from Buck Brice on the revised version of section 2-103 (g)(1)
Disposition of Animals. Cheryl moves to approve ordinance revision proposed by Buck Brice as stated,Barbara
Bevnon seconds,all approve, none oppose, and none abstain.
