Members Present: Dr. Barbara Whitlock, Cheryl Martinez,Megan Winn,Mark Phillips,Megan Tisdale
Members Absent: Harold Bennett, Samantha Person

1. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Dr. Barbara Whitlock at 12:31 P.M.
2. Discussion and Approval of Minutes from June 18,2015
ACAC Meeting held on July 16,2015-Cheryl Martinez moved to approve July 16,2015 meeting minutes.
Mark Phillips seconds,approved with all in favor,no opposition.
3. Discussion and Approval of Absences from June 18,2015
Megan Winn absent due to work related issues. Cheryl Martinez moved to approve absences,Megan Tisdale
seconds, approved with all in favor,no opposition.
4. Discussion of Current Texas Department of State Health Services Region 11 Zoonosis Report
Dr. Barbara Whitlock stated this year, first 5 months of the year in our District 11 were 43 cases of rabies,last
year whole year was 44,there has been a big up rise within half the year. Skunk rabies were in Bee County,
Live Oak,Refugio and San Patricio.
5. Discussion of Parks and Wildlife Report
Dr. Whitlock states trapped 56 animals and 46 released.There is a breakdown from where they came from.
6. Discussion of Current Shelter Report
General discussion on Shelter Report for the month of June. 86 adoptions for dogs,22 for cats and 1 other for
rabbit.Adoptions are down a bit from previous year.None died in kennels. Euthanized more dogs then cats
this year. 31 Foster animals. 58 citations last year and 59 this year. Bites went up as well as call for services.
7. Discussion of Current and Previous Clinic Report
General discussion on Clinic Report for the month of May and June. 135 surgeries for May and 151 for June.
8. Discussion review and recommend a change to current by laws
Take off till further notice.
9. Discussion and Presentation: Animal Care Advisory Committee-Role and Responsibilities
Joseph Brice presented a slide show presentation for Animal Care Advisory Committee Orientation.
Presentation is attached to the minutes.

"Before animals that were coming in heavily with fleas and ticks and seeing recently with the use of Activyl
the animals have been looking so much better and just want to thank y'all on that"

1-7 be placed back on and Recommend board to meet for second committee meeting

unanimously.
