Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Cheryl Martinez at 12:30 P.M. 2. Discussion and Approval of Minutes from July 21,2016. Mark Phillips moved to approve meeting minutes, Samantha Person seconds and motion passes unanimously. 3. Discussion and Approval of Absences from July 21,2016 Megan Tisdale was absent due to illness. Michelle Sanders was absent due to being out of town. Mark Phillips moved to approve absences, Samantha Person seconds and motion passes unanimously. 4. Discussion of Current Texas Department of State Health Services Region 11 Zoonosis Report General discussion of quarterly report. 5. Discussion of Parks and Wildlife Report General discussion on report. 6. Discussion of Current Shelter Report and Clinic Report General discussion on Shelter Report for July. It is requested that outside surgeries be added to report for future months. Was not added — Captain has numbers for August, please add August and September for October meeting. 7. Discussion regarding dogs left in hot cars Cheryl Martinez stated she would like an ordinance in place stating no animal should be left unattended in a vehicle. Captain White stated it would be difficult to enforce this ordinance and that after speaking to Chief Markle they would like to leave it at the discretion of the Animal Care Officer to investigate and police department to file cruelty charges if necessary. 8. Discussion on TNR Cheryl Martinez gave an overview of what occurred last time TNR was to be taken to Council. She stated that it was taken off the agenda at the very last minute due to what a talk show host stated. There were more complaints regarding TNR than there were people for it. Captain White stated that the City Manager that had said TNR would not be discussed again is no longer the City Manager. In order for a change to be made a proposal must be put in place and Town Hall Meetings must be created in various parts of the city. Agreement is made to put TNR back on the agenda. 9. Adjournment Adjourn 1:00 p.m.Megan Winn moved to adjourn, Samantha Person seconds,adjournment passed unanimously.
