Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Cheryl Martinez at 12:30 P.M. 2. Discussion and Approval of Minutes from August 18,2016. Megan Tisdale moved to approve meeting minutes, Samantha Person seconded and motion passed unanimously. 3. Discussion and Approval of Absences from August 18,2016 There were no absences. 4. Discussion of Current Texas Department of State Health Services Region 11 Zoonosis Report There was general discussion of quarterly report. 5. Discussion of Parks and Wildlife Report There was general discussion on report. 6. Discussion of Current Shelter Report and Clinic Report There was general discussion on Shelter Report for August. Cheryl Martinez asked about the tethering citations being handed out and requested number of citations for tethering be separately included in Shelter Report from now on. 7. Discussion regarding a recommendation on responsible pet ownership class ordinance Cheryl Martinez discussed the power point presentation created on responsible pet ownership. Captain Broyles expressed his thoughts on the presentation and states he thinks it is a very good idea.He suggested the class take place at Animal Care Services conference room. Commander Isaacks recommends setting up a meeting with Gail the Presiding Municipal Court Judge to further discuss. 8. Discussion on TNR Cheryl Martinez gave an overview of what occurred last time TNR was to be taken to Council. She stated that it was taken off the agenda at the very last minute due to what a talk show host stated. It was mentioned that The Cattery has been doing TNR for years now, and PAAC has recently started doing TNR as well. It is agreed that community cat will be defined in the ordinance and that is the only thing that will be changed since the ordinance was approved by advisory previously. Ordinance information will be sent to the City's Legal Department for review. 9. Public Comments None 10. Adjournment Adjourn 1:29 p.m. Samantha Person moved to adjourn, Megan Winn seconded, adjournment passed unanimously.
