I. CALL TO ORDER-The regular meeting of the Arts and Cultural Commission was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Brad Kisner. II. ROLL CALL-The recording secretary called roll, announced quorum. III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Regular Meeting, October 14, 2014 — Stephen Rybak moved to approve the minutes as submitted. Joe Schenk seconded. Minutes were approved. IV. PUBLIC COMMENT— None V. NEW BUSINESS Permanent Art Trust Ordinance Update The Commissioners reviewed proposed changes to section 2-107, Duties as to Bayfront Science Park, and 2-108, Permanent Art Trust Fund, of the current Art Ordinance. (See Attached). The following additional changes were recommended for section 2-108: add the word deaccessioning to the list of items to be funded in the first sentence of the first paragraph; Change $5,000 to $3,000 in the first sentence of the second paragraph; Remove the words for the future from the last sentence of the second paragraph. Joe Schenk moved to recommend that the proposed changes, with the recommended amendments, to section 2-107 and 2-108 of the Art Ordinance be sent to City Council for approval. Patricia Reinhardt-Mondragon seconded. Motion passed. VI. OLD BUSINESS Public Art Projects, Administration and Conservation Reba George gave a brief update on several ongoing projects including the plaque installation at Fire Station #5 and Orion's Belt maintenance beginning the week of November 17th. Arts Grant City Staff gave a brief review of the Basic Eligibility results. Commissioners received a packet of Grant Applications for review and submitted their signed Conflict of Interest forms. The scored applications will be due back to City Staff between Tuesday, December 2nd and Friday, December 5th, and the Commissioners will make Arts Grant awardee recommendations at the December 9th meeting. TCA—Cultural District Grant Joe Schenk led a brief discussion about the history of applying for the Cultural District Grant. Reba George will contact Terry Sweeney with the DMD to determine their interest. Item tabled until January 2015. VII. IDENTIFY ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON THE NEXT AGENDA Arts Grants VIII.
