I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL—Chair Linda Avila called the meeting to
order at 4:30 p.m.
H. ROLL CALL — The recording Secretary, Rosie Alaniz, called the roll, quorum was
present.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — Tom Schmid moved to approve the minutes, Chuck
Anastos seconded. Motion passed.

IV. HEAR FROM THE PUBLIC—No members from the public were present.
V. STAFF REPORT—
VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS AND POSSIBLE APPROVAL
A. Approval of Timeline — Mr. Ricardo Sanchez moved to approve, Mr. George Balli
seconded. Motion passed. Mr. Ronnie Sepulveda stated he would check the logo to
make sure it says Park and Recreation.
B. Central Kitchen—Ms. Linda Avila gave report.
C. Bond Projects—Ms. Linda Avila moved for Tom Schmidt to draft a letter to Angel.
George Dunson seconded, motion passed.
V. COMMITTEE REPORTS
VIII. Dennis Kemmerer would like for Ronnie Sepulveda to see if would like to have two
receptions for the art breaking. Mr. Chuck Anastos will talk to contractors and if
everything goes as planned the project will be installed by August. October is the
deadline. Mr. Dennis Kemmerer gave report on public arts. Mr. Chuck Anastos stated
he would be calling some artists. Mr. Ricardo Sanchez reported that the Projects
n Committee met on 3/29/01.

IX. CURRENT CONCERNS — Ms. Avila told about a mini grant opportunity. She also
reported that the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce meeting is Thursday from 5:30 to &
7:30 at Bayfront. Elizabeth Reese suggested maybe every month have a newsletter
published. Ms. Avila assigned Mr. Sanchez to come up with plan for publication.
Mr. Sepulveda stated that Shakespeare had been canceled. He also informed commission
that Jane Moss has resigned.
IX. ADJOURNMENT—Meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
