II. ROLL CALL —The Recording Secretary called roll, announced quorum. III. DISCUSSION ITEMS AND POSSIBLE ACTION - A. Seawall Artist Dennis Kemmerer led discussion of the Andrew Dufford proposal for the Seawall project. Mr. Aconci declined the job so a second choice waL made and recommended by the projects committee. (Linda Avila arrived at 4:37 p.m.) Elizabeth Reese made a motion to recommend Andrew Dufford's proposal. Linda Avila seconded. Dennis Kemmerer and Elia Gutierrez abstained. The motion passed. Chuck Anastos announced the Commission would be on break until 5:00 p.m. when the joint meeting of the Park and Recreation Advisory Committee, The Landmark Commission and the Arts and Cultural Commission is scheduled to begin. B. Proposed Artesian Park Development Project John Dykema and Jim Maloney gave the project presentation. A donation by Ed Harte and Robert Rowlings is offered to enhance Artesian Park with a design by Landscape Architect, Peter Walker. Representatives from the public expressed concerns. Speakers were Walter Plitt of the Brownsville, Palo Alto Park Committee; Moses Canales, local citizen; and Rosa Gonzales of the Descendents of the Mexican War Veterans, a National Organization. General discussion of the proposal was held. (Ricardo Sanchez left at 6:15 p.m.) Elizabeth Reese made a motion for the Artesian Park Project to be an Agenda Item for the next Arts and Cultural Committee meeting to continue: discussion and make a recommendation. Linda Avila seconded. The motion passed. (George Balli left at 6:30 p.m.) IV.
