The Committee reviewed groups that have a series of related events, i.e., series separated by a substantial time interval. The Cathedral Concert Series crossed two ACC calendar years, so they will be requested to re-do their budget for 2007 so proposed events fall into one A.C.C. funding cycle. Additional materiel showed their direction is good. The Committee is now focusing on scoring for the 2007 grant year. Lisa Godwin stated her opinion, based on her knowledge as an attorney. She wants to be sure the Cathedral Concert Series isn't overly scrutinized compared to other groups. Judith Prewitt, Jim Rennier and Elia Gutierrez, members of the Cultural Enrichment Committee, assured the ACC that each application was given as much attention as needed to ensure that it conformed to the eligibility criteria for subgrant funding. Among others, the Cathedral Concert Series applicant fell short. Jim Rennier read from the Legal Opinion rendered by the City that directed the Cultural Enrichment Committee how to evaluate the Cathedral Concert Series with regard to the primary aim(s) of the project.
