CALL TO ORDER -The meeting of the Arts and Cultural Commission was called to order at 4:43 p.m.
by Chair, DeAnn Gould-Lancaster.
I. ROLL CALL - The Recording Secretary called roll, announced quorum.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Nov. 9, 2006
Motion by Lynda Jonest , 2nd by Frank Trimble approve minutes. Minutes were approved as
written.
HEARING FROM PUBLIC - None
III. DISCUSSION ITEMS AND POSSIBLE ACTION:
• Discussion on By-Laws - tabled to the next meeting
• Sub Committee Reports:
PERFORMING ARTS - Grant Seeking, Grant Writing is scheduled for January 23 and
reservation response is good. Italian Street Painting theme (Chalk Art) for 2007 FOA, this year a
3-day event at Heritage Park, with performing artists and artisan sales. Workshops will be offered
to local schools. Ed Grove will investigate renewed alliance with the local hotel/motel assn. for
festival patrons; Sponsorship committee members, Lisa Godwin and Gloria Bilaye-Benibo will be
seeking donated airfare and accommodations for the artists and for supplies for the art friendly
Kidz Zone.
Ed Grove and Joye LaBarrett will look for hotels for the chalk artists; Lisa
Godwin will be looking for donated airfare for the artists.
VISUAL ARTS — WKMC library project % for Art budget; RFP's to be sent out.
CULTURAL ENRICHMENT — No meeting; scoring on-going.

CURRENT CONCERNS — Art Survey Form — Arts Directory
The Chair Person will be reassigning Committee members not attending their assigned
sub committees due to time conflicts to a subcommittee that fits their time schedules.
ADJOURNMENT - As there was no further business, Lisa Godwin made a motion
to adjourn the meeting, Elia Guttierez 2nd the motion. The meeting was adjourned at
5:35 p.m.
A Christmas get-together took place after the meeting.
