I. CALL TO ORDER -The Regular Meeting of the Arts and Cultural Commission was called to order at
1:52 p.m. by Chair, Ed Grove.
II. ROLL CALL -The recording secretary called roll, announced quorum.
III. HEARING FROM THE PUBLIC - none
IV. ACT ON ABSENCES
(Frank Trimble arrived at 1:53pm)
Lynda Jones made a motion to excuse Beto Garcia's absence for this meeting, July 10th. Frank
Trimble seconded. Motion passed.
V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a. Regular Meeting, June 12
Joye LaBarrett made a motion to accept the June 12th minutes as submitted. Lynda Jones
seconded. Motion passed.

VII. NEW BUSINESS (DISCUSSION I POSSIBLE ACTION)
a. Accept Peer Panel recommendation of James Hetherington as artist for Fire Station #17 Percent
For Art Project
Lynda Jones reported that peer panel recommended that we take to Fire Station. The fire chief
likes it and the architect likes it.
Joye LaBarrett made a motion to accept the proposal. Ed Grove seconded. Motion passed.
b. Website Contractor Selection
Joye reported that the executive committee met and decided to go with Reel Simple Productions to
handle the website for the Arts & Cultural Commission.
Lynda Jones made a motion to accept Daniel Garza's proposal from Reel Simple Productions to do
online services for the Festival of Arts and Arts & Cultural Commission, do updating and teach us
to do updating. Joe Schenk seconded.
Heidi wanted to know what type of code Reel Simple is going to use. Are the commissioners going
to have to learn html code? What type of editing process is it going to be.
Joye stated that Reel Simple's invoice has the program that is going to be used and they reassured
us that it is user friendly.
We are going to brirthe software and Reel Simple will teach wi .:ver wants to come. Karen
Dawson and the commissioners will share the responsibility of updating.
Heidi asked if Reel Simple is going to submit this for approval from the ACC. Joye reported that
the executive committee will vote on look and style.
Chris Semtner reported on the Reel Simple invoice:
