MUNICIPAL ARTS COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING - JULY 14, 1994

I. CALL TO ORDER - The regular meeting of the Municipal Arts Commission was
held on Thursday, July 14, 1994 in the Council Chambers, 1st floor of City Hall.
Frank Weathered, General Chairman, called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL - The roll was called after a quorum was present at 2:05 p.m.
III. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES - Lynda Jones motioned to approve the minutes of
the June 9, 1994 meeting. Jane Harvey seconded the motion, and the vote was
unanimous.
IV. PRESENTATION OF SUBGRANT REQUESTS BY PARTICIPATING ART
ORGANIZATIONS. The five minute presentations were given in the following order
according to the sign in register for this meeting.

V. DISCUSSION ITEM: Discussion of a request from the South Texas Performance
Company to change the performance location of "A Rose By Any Other Name"
(project supported by the 1993-1994 Subgrant program) from the Center for
Hispanic Arts to The Place. Mr. Joe Rosenberg of the Bilingual Theater Company
requested a change of location for the presentation of the performance "A Rose By
Any Other Name" from the Center of Hispanic Arts to "The Place". John Yochem,
Jr. motioned that the commission approve the location change. Chuck Anastos
seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous.

VIII. ADJOURNMENT - The meeting was adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
