I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Winship at 1:31 p.m. and a quorum was declared.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. March 23,2011
Motion to approve the March 23, 2011 minutes was made by Board Member Johnson and seconded by
Board Member Hellums. Motion passed unanimously.
III. APPEALS
1. New Appeal
Lisa Wargo, Development Services, presented New Appeal No. ZBA 0411-01 McTurbine, Inc., stating
the applicant requested a Special Use Exception for an objectionable use in the installation and operation
of one(1)6,000-gallon UL2085 above-ground fuel storage tank.

objectionable use in the installation and operation of one,
6,000-gallon UL2085 above-ground fuel storage tank.
The subject property is 0.005 acres out of Industrial Technology
Park Unit 2, Block 5, Lot 1, located west of Junior Beck Drive
and south of Bear Lane.
Chairman Winship inquired about the undeliverable notice and Miguel Saldana, Development Services,
stated the undeliverable notice was to the applicant's representative.
The public hearing was opened.
John Kendall, representative, came forward and stated the applicant needed the Special Use Exception to
expand his business.

Chairman Winship stated that a sufficient amount of space was between the tank and the parking lot.
The public hearing was closed.
In accordance with Section 29 of the Zoning Ordinance,Board Member Johnson moved that Appeal No.
ZBA 0411-01, a request for a Special Use Exception for an Objectionable Use in the installation and
operation of one, 6,000-gallon UL2085 above-ground fuel storage tank, for property described as being
0.005 acres out of Industrial Technology Park, Unit 2,Block 5,Lot 1, located west of Junior Beck Drive
and south of Bear Lane, be approved, based on the finding that the necessary safeguards have been
provided for the protection of the surrounding properties and persons,and that in the Board's opinion and
as a matter of fact, such a Special Use Exception will not substantially affect adversely the uses of
adjacent and neighboring property permitted by the Zoning Ordinance. The motion was seconded by
Board Member Hellums.
Chairman Winship requested a roll call vote and the roll was called with Board Member Spear absent.
Motion passed unanimously.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
POSTING STATEMENT:
Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Johnson and seconded by Alternate Board Member
McMullan. Motion passed unanimously and meeting was adjourned at 1:41 p.m.
