CALL TO ORDER IL APPROVAL OF ABSENCES: Tony Pineda,John McMullan and Taylor Mauck A motion to approve absences from the December 16, 2016 meeting was made by Mr. McRee and seconded by Chairman Atnip. Motion passed with Mr.Mauck absent. III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: December 16, 2015 A motion was made by Mr. McRee to approve item"IIP'and seconded by Mr. Pineda. Motion passed with Mr. Mauck absent. IV. APPEAL—DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING 1. Nene Appeals Andrew Dimas,Development Services,read item"a"into record as shown below. He presented several aerial views of the subject property. The applicant wishes to place an above ground fuel tank for the purpose of refueling company vehicles, dump trucks and belly dump trailers. Mr. Dimas informed the Board that zero notices were returned neither in favor or opposed and City Staff recommend approval of the special use exception. a. Appeal No.ZBA 0216-01 (16-12500001) Kaye and Sons Site Development,request a Special Use Exception (SUE)to allow for the installation and operation of a two-hundred(200) gallon above around fuel tank. The subject property is being described as Johns Industrial Subdivision, Lot 11, Located east of the intersection of South Navigation Boulevard and Bear Lane. After Staff s presentation, Chairman Atnip opened the floor for public comment. Mr. David Morin at 2220 Monkey Road in Rockport,Texas, addressed the Board. He is representing the applicant. Mr. Morin gave the Board some background infonnation about the property regarding pre-existing tanks which were removed prior to new ownership. Mr.Morin added that it is more cost effective and convenient to keep fuel tanks on the property. Once con-u-nents and questions from the Board concluded, Chairman Atnip called for a motion. A motion to approved item "a" was made by Mr. Pineda and seconded by Mr. McRec. Motion passed with Mr. Mauck absent. N/.
