Butler, Senior Secretary Chairman Dykema opened the public hearing at 1:32 p.m. , in the Council Chambers at City Hall and explained the procedure to be followed. ************************************************************************* APPEAL NO. 2984 - Property located at 1913 Mestina REQUEST: Application by Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Lots 2, 3 , 4 and 5, Block 4, Hillside Subdivision, located in a I-3, Heavy Industrial District. .Application requesting to reduce the minimum required 40 parking stalls to 20. REPLIES RECEIVED IN FAVOR: 0 REPLIES RECEIVED IN OPPOSITION: 0 APPEARING IN FAVOR: Rev. Claude Axel, Pastor, 741 Crestview Lucie Harris, Member, 4537 Elvira B. Harris, Member Betty Ina, Member, 3625 Brushwood APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: None STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Denial BASIS FOR RECOMMENDATION: Based on the information presented staff feels that the appellant could provide the additional 20 parking spaces with a lease agreement with the Lighthouse For The Blind or go out further to the west adjacent to Lot 1, Block 4 and possibly obtain a lease through the City or private owner. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Building Inspection Department. ************************************************************************* MISCELLANEOUS Motion was made by Mr. Gamboa, seconded by Mr. Veteto and passed unanimously to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.
