August 22, 1991

Vice Chairman Skrobarczyk called the meeting to order at 1:42 p.m. ,
in the Committee Room on the first floor of City Hall.
The Board deferred action on the election of officers until later in
the meeting.
The next item was the review of roofing construction criteria. Mr.
Gonzalez provided the Board background information identifying built-up
(gravel) roofs in particular as needing to be reviewed for use in
hurricane force wind regions.
After a brief discussion it was the consensus of the Board that
staff conduct a survey of other coastal cities located in hurricane force
wind regions to gather information regarding gravel roof construction
criteria within their jurisdiction.
A motion was made by Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Graham and passed
unanimously to approve the minutes of June 27, 1991 as submitted.
Under current concerns and events Mr. Gonzalez stated that he had
received a letter from Mr. Foster Edwards, Executive Vice President for
the Corpus Christi Board of Realtors requesting that their nominee for a
position on the Ad-Hoc Foundation Standards Committee be added to the
committee. Mr. Gonzalez explained to the Board that the nomination from
the Board of Realtors was received after the Board had made appointments.
After a discussion a motion was made by Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr.
Kramer and passed unanimously that the representative of the Corpus
Christi Board of Realtors be officially placed on the mailing list to be
advised of all upcoming committee meetings and is encouraged to
participate in the upcoming discussions.

Mr. Gonzalez then gave the Board an update on the committee's
progress and future plans. He explained that the committee was currently
holding general discussions with future plans to complete their review in
three related subject areas.
The election of officers was the next item. A motion was made by
Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr. Osborne and passed unanimously to elect Mr.
Phillip Skrobarczyk, Chairman by acclamation. A motion was then made by
Mr. Osborne, seconded by Mr. Kramer and passed unanimously to elect Mr.
Miles Graham, Vice Chairman by acclamation.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:21 p.m.
