I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Gregory Perkes at 1:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers on the first floor of City Hall.

III. MINUTES
A motion was made by Frank Hastings, and seconded by Ted Stephens to approve
the minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 25, 2010. A roll call vote was taken and
the motion passed.
IV. STAFF REPORT
Staff Report presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases
for 2008-2010.

1. 6046 Airstream Dr. residence (Mobile Estates Lot 18 Block 3)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration
APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0
APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0
Motion: A motion was made by Frank Hastings, seconded by Ted Stephens to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)
according to Section 13-26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 6046 Airstream
Dr. residence Mobile Estates, Lot 18 Block 3). If the demolition is not started
and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call
vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously
2. 3637 Fairchild St. residence (Airport Park, Lot 4 Block 5)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration

Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Clarissa Beltran to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)

Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 3637 Fairchild

permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 2817 Lawton St.
residence (Harlem Park, Lot 19 Block 5). If the demolition is not started and
completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote
was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
5. 5728 Leopard St. residence (Ebony Acres, Lot 46)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration

Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Shane Torno to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)
according to Section 13-26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 5728 Leopard St.
residence (Ebony Acres, Lot 46). If the demolition is not started and completed

as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken
and the motion passed unanimously.
6. 1513 Main Dr. residence (Hudson Acres, Lot 28 Block 1)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration

Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Frank Hastings to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)
according to Section 13-26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 1513 Main Dr.
residence (Hudson Acres, Lot 28 Block 1). If the demolition is not started and
completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote
was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
7. 2907 Marguerite St. residence (Steele, Lots 19 & 20 Block 9 & pt of Alley)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs due to the extent of
deterioration
APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0
APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0
Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Clarissa Beltran to
accept staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to
Section 13-26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in
which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain the proper permits and
start repairs to the structure(s) located at 2907 Marguerite St. residence
(Steele, Lots 19 &20 Block 9 & pt of alley) and if repairs are started, an
additional sixty (60) days be allowed to complete the repairs. If repairs are not
started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll
call vote was taken and passed unanimously.
8. 4606 Mokry Dr. residence (Central Park, Lot 25 Block 1)

deterioration

Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Randal Salazar to
amend staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to
Section 13-26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in
which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain the proper permits and
start repairs to the structure(s) located at 4606 Mokry Dr. residence (Central
Park, Lot 25 Block 1) and if repairs are started, an additional ninety (90) days
be allowed to complete the repairs. If repairs are not started and completed as
required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and
passed unanimously.
9. 529 Osage Ave. 2 residences and storage shed (Meadow Park, S/2 of Lot 2 Block 24)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration

Motion: A motion was made by Frank Hastings, seconded by Ted Stephens to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)
according to Section 13-26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 529 Osage Ave.
2 residences and storage shed (Meadow Park, S/2 of Lot 2 Block 24). If the
demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to
demolish. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously
10. 2937 Ruth St. residence (Montrose Park, Lot 2 Block 7)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration

APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0
Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Frank Hastings to
table this case to the July 22, 2010 regular hearing. A roll call vote was taken
and the motion passed unanimously.

11. 2937 Sonora St. residence (Reynolds 2, Lot 12)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to
the extent of deterioration
APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0
APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0
Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Randal Salazar to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)
according to Section 13-26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located 2937 Sonora St.
residence (Reynolds 2, Lot 12). If the demolition is not started and completed
as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken
and the motion passed unanimously.

A motion was made by Randal Salazar, seconded by Frank Hastings to adjourn
the hearing at 2:45 p.m. on May 27, 2010.
