II. ROLL CALL Board Members Present Clarissa Beltran Michael A. McCauley Ramiro Munoz III Randal Salazar Ted Stephens Shane Torno Board Members Absent Frank Hastings A motion was made by Michael McCauley and seconded Randal Salazar to excuse the absence from the Regular Meeting of January 26, 2012. A roll vote was taken and the motion passed. Staff Present Teena Houston, Code Enforcement Supervisor /Board Liaison Lisa A g u i l a r , Sr. Assistant City Attorney Holly Tyree, Assistant to the Director, (NSD) Andy Montes, Code Enforcement Supervisor, (NSD) Laura Rickerson, Code Enforcement Officer, (NSD) Ron Arispe, Code Enforcement Officer, (NSD) Ed Salazar, Code Enforcement Officer, (NSD) III. MINUTES A motion was made by Shane Torno, and seconded by Ramiro Munoz III to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 26, 2012. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed. IV. STAFF REPORT Staff Report presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases for 2009 -2011. Motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Michael McCauley to open the public hearing. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed. Motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, seconded by Clarissa Beltran to close the public hearing. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed. V. NEW BUSINESS 1. 2925 Carver Dr residential, (Reynolds Lot 19 Block B) STAFF RECOMMENDATION To grant repairs due to the extent of deterioration. 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION I Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens, seconded by Ramiro Munoz III to amend staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain the proper permits and start repairs to the structure(s) located at 2925 Carver Dr residence, (Reynolds, Lot 19 Block ) and if repairs are started, an additional ninety (90) days be allowed to complete the repairs. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously 2. 4545 Elvira Dr. 2 residential structures, (La Pascua 2, Lots 15 & 16 Block 2) STAFF RECOMMENDATION To grant repairs due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: APPEARING IN OPPOSITION Motion: A motion was made by Shane Torno, seconded by Michael Mc Cauley to amend staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the owner be allowed sixty (60) days to obtain the proper permits and start repairs to the structure(s) located at 4545 Elvira Dr. 2 residential structures, (La Pascua Lot 15 & 16 Block 2) and if repairs are started, an additional sixty (60) days be allowed to complete the repairs. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 3. 2911 Rhodes Ct. residence, (Highway Park Lot 7 Block B) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs due to the extent of deterioration [2] APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III seconded by Ted Stephens to accept staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain the proper permits and start repairs to the structure(s) located at 2911 Rhodes Ct residence, (Highway Park Lt 7 Block ) and if repairs are started, an additional sixty (60) days be allowed to complete the repairs. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 4. 2005 Van Loan Ave. residence, (Hillcrest, Lot 3 Block 9) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made by Ted Stephens seconded by Shane Torno to accept staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain the proper permits and start repairs to the structure(s) located at 2005 Van Loan. residence, ( illcrest, Lot 3 Block 9 ) and if repairs are started, an additional sixty (60) days be allowed to complete the repairs. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. A motion was made by Michael Mc Cauley, seconded by Ramiro Munoz III to recommend Shawn P. Bodine to City Council for appointment of new board member. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed. A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, seconded by Randal Salazar to recommend Peggy E. Mettlen to City Council for appointment of new board member. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed. VI. IDENTYIFY ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA VII. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, seconded by Michael McCauley to adjourn the hearing at 2:00 p.m. on March 22, 2012.
