CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Ramiro Munoz III at 1:45 p.m. in the Council
Chambers on the first floor of City Hall.

A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, and seconded by Shawn Bodine to
excuse the absence of Clarissa Beltran from the Regular meeting of May 24, 2012.
A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed.

III. MINUTES
A motion was made by Clarissa Beltran, and seconded by Randal Salazar to
approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 24, 2012. A roll call vote was
taken and the motion passed.
IV. STAFF REPORT
Staff Report presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases
for 2010- present.
V. PUBLIC COMMENT
Acting Chairman Ramiro Munoz III opened the floor for public comment.
Due to no public response the floor was closed by acting chairman.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
1. 2822 Ada St residential, (Harlem Park Lot 18 Block 3)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
To require demolition due to the extent
of deterioration.

Motion No action was taken due to the request from the Director of
Neighborhood Services, Mr. Eddie Ortega to pull this property from this hearing.
The property owners have requested additional time to bring property into
compliance.
2. 1622 Blanco Rd. residential, (McNorton 3, Lot 1 Block 10)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of
deterioration.

Motion: A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, seconded by Randal Salazar
to accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)
according to Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1622 Blanco
Rd. residence (McNorton 3, Lot 1 Block 10). If the demolition is not started and
completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote
was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
3. 130 Caribbean Dr. commercial, (Surfside Addition Lot 19)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of
deterioration.

Motion A motion was made by Clarissa Beltran, seconded by Shawn Bodine to accept
staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section
13 -26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the owner be
allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the
structure(s) located at 130 Caribbean Dr. commercial ( Surfside Addition, Lot 19). If
the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to
demolish. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
4. 727 Claride St. residence, (Flour Bluff No 2, E50' Lot 2 & W35' Lot 3 Block 5)

To require demolition due to the extent of

Motion A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, seconded by Randal Salazar to
accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s) according to
Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (c) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the
owner be allowed one hundred twenty (120) days to obtain proper permits and
complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 727 Claride St. residence
( Flour Bluff No 2, E50' Lot 2 & W35' Lot 3 Block 5). If the demolition is not started
and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was
taken and the motion passed unanimously.
5. 1210 Fourteenth St. residence & accessory bldg, (Bayiew 2, Lot 16 Block 9)

To require demolition due to the extent
of deterioration.

which the owner be allowed sixty (60) days to obtain proper permits and complete

the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1214 Fourteenth St. residence &
accessory b0q (Bavview 2 Lot 16 Block 9). If the demolition is not started and
completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was
taken and the motion passed unanimously.
6. 2504 Nimitz St. residence, (La Arboleda Lot 3 Block 2)

To require demolition due to the extent

and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 2504 Nimitz St.
residence (La Arboleda, Lot 3 Block 2). If the demolition is not started and
completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was
taken and the motion passed unanimously.
7. 1618 Palm Dr. residence & accessory bldg, (Nueces Bay Hts, Lots 15 & 16 Block 5)

Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1712 Palm Dr.
residence (Nueces Bay Hts Lots 13 & 14 Block 6). If the demolition is not
started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll
call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
9. 2522 Sarita St. accessory bldg, (Southwest Heights, Lot 14 Block 6 & por of alley)

To require demolition due to the extent
of deterioration.

to accept staff recommendations and require demolition of the structure(s)

Ordinances in which the owner be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper
permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 2522 Sarita St.
accessory (Southwest Hts Lot 14, Block 6 & por of alley). If the demolition is
not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A
roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
10. 2926 Sonora Dr. residence, (Tom Price, Lot 5 Block 1)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
To grant repairs due to the extent of
deterioration.

Motion: A motion was made by Ramiro Munoz III, seconded by Peggy Mettlen to
accept staff recommendations to allow repairs to the structure(s) according to
Section 13 -26 (G) (1) (a) of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances in which the

owner be allowed sixty (60) days to obtain the proper permits and start repairs to the
structure(s) located at 2926 Sonora Dr residence, (Tom Price, Lot 5 Block 1) and if
repairs are started, an additional one hundred twenty (120) days be allowed to
complete the repairs. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously

VII. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Shawn Bodine, seconded by Randal Salazar to adjourn the
hearing at 3:00 p.m. on July 26, 2012.
