CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Matthew Ezell at 1:36 P.M. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall. 11. ROLL CALL Board Members Present Matthew Ezell Craig S. Board Members Absent Lee R. Hassman Joel De La Garza IV. MINUTES A motion was made by Craig S. Loving and seconded by Dante C. Miller to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 22, 2016. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously. V. STAFF REPORT The Staff Report was presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases for 2016 to present. V1. PUBLIC COMMENT A motion was made by Matthew Ezell to open the floor for public comment. As there was no response, Matthew Ezell closed the public comment. VII. OLD BUSINESS 1. 2303 LAREDO ST., Demolition (57%) (PATRICK WEBB LTS 19 THRU 24 LESS N POR BLK 7) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Danny and Soveida Grande APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Dante C. Miller and seconded by Craig S. Loving to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 2303 LAREDO ST.,(PATRICK WEBB LTS 19 THRU 24 LESS N POR BLK 7). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 2. 1102 S. BROWNLEE BLVD., Demolition (67%)ACCESSORY(52%)(BAY VEIW#2 BLK 5 LOT 16 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Craig S. Loving and seconded by Gary K. Adams to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1102 S. BROWNLEE BLVD.,(BAY VEIW#2 BLK 5 LOT 16). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 3. 2040 N.CLARKWOOD RD., Demolition (63%)ACCESSORY(50%)(SHEPPARD EB FARM LOTS LOT 301.0) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Dante C. Miller and seconded by Craig S. Loving to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 2040 N. CLARKWOOD RD.,(SHEPPARD EB FARM LOTS LOT 30 1.0). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 4. 2006 CRESTIVIONT ST., Demolition (56%)ACCESSORY(55%)(DON PATRICIO LT 15& N9.2'OFLT16BKL) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Craig S. Loving and seconded by Tim Honea to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 2006 CRESTIVIONT ST.,(DON PATRICIO LT 15 & N9.2'OF LT 16 BK Q. If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 5. 1009 DUNCAN ST., Demolition (69%)ACCESSORY(59%)(KOSAR BILK 1 LOT 2) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Dante C. Miller and seconded by Craig S. Loving to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1009 DUNCAN ST.,(KOSAR BILK 1 LOT 2). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 6. 3337 HALFPENNY ST., Demolition (52%) (BRIGHTON VILLAGE BILK 7 LOT 3) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Pull this case from the hearing; new lien holder found APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: No motion was made by board members for this case since it was pulled due to the discovery of a new lienholder. 7. 4625 HELEN ST., Demolition (60%)ACCESSORY(56%)(SUNFLOWER BILK 1 LOT 4) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Craig S. Loving and seconded by Tim Honea to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 4625 HELEN ST.,(SUNFLOWER BILK 1 LOT 4). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 8. 1702 HEMLOCK PL., Demolition (55%)(GREENWOOD PARK BILK 4 LOT 11) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made Dante C. Miller and seconded by Matthew Ezell to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1702 HEMLOCK PL.,(GREENWOOD PARK BILK 4 LOT 11). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 9. 5210 HONEYSUCKLE LN.,ACCESSORY(5%)(LYNWOOD PLACE#1 BILK 1 LOT 5) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made by Craig S. Loving and seconded by Dante C. Miller to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 5210 HONEYSUCKLE LN., (LYNWOOD PLACE#1 BILK 1 LOT 5). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 10. 426 PENNINGTON DR.,ACCESSORY(52%)(BROOKDALE PARK BILK 5 LOT 22) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made by Gary K. Adams and seconded by Matthew Ezell to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 426 PENNINGTON DR.,(BROOKDALE PARK BILK 5 LOT 22). If the demolition is not started and completed as required,then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 11. 1421 SAM RANKIN ST.,COMMERCIAL, Demolition (52%)(COLONIA MEXICANA LTS 23 AND 24 BILK SE/4 B) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: A motion was made by Gary K. Adams and seconded by Tim Honea to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty(30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 1421 SAM RANKIN ST.,COMMERCIAL,(COLONIA MEXICANA LTS 23 AND 24 BILK SE/4 B). If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. IX. IDENTIFYING ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA No identifying items for future agenda at this moment. X. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Matthew Ezell to adjourn the hearing at 3:05 P.M. on January 26, 2017.
