Hassman at 1:42 P.M. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall. IL ROLL CALL Board Members Present Lee R. Hassman Craig S. Loving Dante C. Miller Tim Honea Lillian T. Board Members Absent Joel De La Garza Navid Zarghooni IV. MINUTES A motion was made by Lee R. Hassman and seconded by Dante C. Miller to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 24, 2019. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. V. STAFF REPORT The Staff Report was presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases for 2018 to present. A motion was made by Tim Honea and seconded by Dante C. Miller to approve the staff report. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. VI. PUBLIC COMMENT A motion was made by Lee R. Hassman to open the floor for public comment. As there was no response, Lee R. Hassman closed the public comment. VII. NEW BUSINESS 2442 BEVECREST DR., DEMOLITION RESIDENCE (56%) ACCESSORY (54%1 (CRESTMONT #10R BLK 1 LOT 18) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: ROBERT DOMINGUEZ Motion: A motion was made by Dante C. Miller and seconded by Lillian T. Holmes to reject the staff recommendation and table this case until the next board hearing. it is required for permits to be pulled, a detailed timeline, specific plan per guidelines with the City and an electrical inspection to be presented in the next board hearing. 2. 530 COLE ST., DEMOLITION ACCESSORY (51%) (DEL MAR W 18FT OF LT 78t E 36FT OF LT 8 BK 35 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. Holmes to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 530 COLE ST.. (DEL MAR W 18FT OF LT 7& E 36FT OF LT 8 BK 35 . If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 3. 2828 COLEMAN AVE DEMOLITION RESIDENCE/ACCESSORY (55%) (STEELE LTS 65 & 6 BLK 11 PT OF ALLEY) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. Hassman and seconded by Tim Honea to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 2828 COLEMAN AVE. (STEELE LTS 65 & 6 BLK 11 PT OF ALLEY). If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: David Walker Motion: A motion was made by Dante C. Miller and seconded by Craig Loving to reject the staff recommendation and table this case for 60 days to allow permits to be pulled and require a detailed timeline to be presented in the next board hearing. A fence to be erected and signs need to be posted to secure the property and prohibit entry into the property. IX. IDENTIFYING ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA Adopt provisions for absences for future meetings. Receive an update on 5029 Williams Drive pending a hearing with City Council. X. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Lee R. Hassman to adjourn t e aringa 4: P.M. on July 25, 2019.
