II. ROLL CALL Board Members Preseni Lillian T. Helms Tim Honea Craig S. Board Members Absent Dante C. Miller Navid 2arghooni Lee R. Hassman IV. MINUTES A motion was made by Craig S. Loving and seconded by Lilian T. Helms to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 25, 2019. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. V. STAFF REPORT The Staff Report was presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases for 2018 to present. Update 5029 Williams an appeal was approved VI. PUBLICCOMMENT A motion was made by Tim Honea to open the floor for public comment. As there was no response, Tim Honea closed the public comment. VII. NEW BUSINESS 469 LOUISIANA AVE.. DEMOLITION RESIDENCE and ACCESSORY (Del Monte LT 1 BLK 11 STAFF RECCOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Michelle Hollingsworth APPEARING IN OPPOSTION: George Martin Motion: A motion was made by Craig S. Loving and seconded by Tim Honea to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 469 LOUISIANA AVE., DEMOLITION RESIDENCE and ACCESSORY (Del Monte LT 1 BILK 111f the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. 2. 361 HIAWATHA ST. DEMOLITION (60%) (AUSTIN LT 2 BK 81 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Ricardo Alvarado, Elizabeth Alvarado APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: Rachel Rios Vallejo Motion: A motion was made by Craig S. Loving and seconded by Tim Honea to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13- 22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 361 HIAWATHA ST.. Loving and seconded by Joel De La Garza to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 3313 HOUSTON ST. Holmes to accept the staff recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H) (1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the structure(s) located at 233 VERA CRUZ ST. DEMOLITION RESIDENCE (CORONADO LTS 3 BLK 131. If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously. VIII. OLD BUSINESS 1. 2442 BEVECREST DR., DEMOLITION RESIDENCE (56%1 ACCESSORY (54%) (CRESTMONT #30R BILK 1 LOT 18) STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: ROBERT DOMINGUEZ Motion: A motion was made by Joel De La Garza and seconded by Lillian T. Holmes to reject the staff recommendation and table this case until the next board hearing. Mr. Dominguez said he would work with the inspector and provide pictures of work as it is being done. His intentions are to repair the home so that his ex-wife and son can live in the home. 626 GLAZEBROOK ST.. DEMOLITION (54%) (LINDALE PARK 4.2277 ACS OUT OF LT 7 BLK 39 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: David Walker Architect representing Hamed Samer Motion: A motion was made by Tim Honea and seconded by Joel De La Garza to reject the staff recommendation and allow for substantial work and repairs to be done in sixty days. The fence to remain as a perimeter around the premises to prohibit entry into the property. Windows, roofing, doors, insulation to be completed by next meeting. Also, a completion date is to be submitted at the next meeting. X. IDENTIFYING ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA Adopt provisions for absences for future meetings. X. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Tim Honea to adjourn the heari at 3:25 P.M. on September 26, 2019.
