Ray Jones at 1:33 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall. The meeting was opened by informing those that the appropriate notices has been sent to the property owners and notices published in the newspaper. A visual presentation showing the condition of each property was conducted by staff. The following are summaries of action taken by the board. ************************************************************************ 133 Atlantic- Del Mar,Block 2,E/2of lot 19 &all of lot 20 Christopher Carpenter, Owner STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow repairs due to the extent of deterioration to the main structure; to require demolition of the detached garage. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Jay Wright, Attorney Christopher Carpenter, Owner APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: Tammy Watson SCANNED Motion: Motion was made by Mr. San Miguel, seconded by Mr. Goin and passed unanimously to table the case until the May 2001 hearing to provide a schedule of repairs and plans and finalize legal disputes. (Mrs. Guerra abstained from voting due to a business relation with the property) and to clean and board up detached garage. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. ************************************************************************ 2402 Cleo, (aka) 2309 Segrest, Segrest, LT 8-A, Block 16 Esther Steele, Owner STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow repairs due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Esther Steele APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. San Miguel, seconded by Mr. Goin and passed unanimously to grant the repairs to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete repairs or thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 2402 Cleo, aka 2309 Segrest,Lot 8-A, Block 16. If repairs or demolition are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. Rodriguez, Owner STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant the repairs to the main structure and require demolition to the guest quarters and detached garage. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Angel Aaron Rodriguez APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mrs. Guerra, seconded by Mr. Goin and passed unanimously to table the case until the May 2001 hearing to provide a schedule of repairs and legally probate the property for ownership and board up the guest quarters. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Thomas Riddick APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Goin and seconded by Mr. San Miguel and passed unanimously to amend the staff recommendation and grant repairs to the main structure according to Section 13-26, (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing sixty (60) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete repairs or thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the main structure and thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to completely demolish the detached carport/shed of the property located at 813 Coleman, Hampton, LT 2 Block 5 according to Section 13-26, (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance. If repairs or demolition are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Virginia Garza, Sister of Owner APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. San Miguel and seconded by Mr. Goin and passed unanimously to allow repairs to the main structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete repairs or thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 2021 Craig, Bay View#3, LT 5 Block 10 and to allow demolition of the detached garage according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete demolition. If repairs and demolition are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Maria Cruz Maria Gutierrez APPEARING.IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mrs. Guerra and seconded by Mr. McGuire and passed unanimously to table the case until the May 2001 hearing to provide a schedule of repairs and to settle legal ownership for the Main Structure, and to demolish the three accessory structures located at 2302 Greer, Waldron, Sub Lt 4 Block 1 according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete demolition. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. If repairs or demolition are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. Staples,Bay View, Lot 16 Block 12 according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance and to attend the May 2001 hearing to provide a progress report of repairs and plans; and to require that the property be secured. Frm Gdn Tr, Lot 12 Section 21. The thirty (30) day period for obtaining a permit was waived as permit had already been obtained. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. Block 1. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish.
