Huerta, Secretary The meeting was called to order by Chairman,D. Ray Jones at 1:34 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall. The meeting was opened by informing those that the appropriate notices have been sent to the property owners and notices published in the newspaper. A visual presentation showing the condition of each property was conducted by staff. The following are summaries of action taken by the Board. 3809 Agnes—Meadow Park,W 2' of Lot 11, 12,&E 12' of Lot 13,Block 7 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition to the main structure due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 SCANNED APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 P.O.Box 9277 • Corpus Christi,Texas 78469-9277 • (361)880-3000 / , 1 Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed unanimously to accept the staff recommendation and allow demolition to the main structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 3809 Agnes, Meadow Park, W 2' of Lot 11, 12., & E 12' of Lot 13, Block 7. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 1929 Comanche— Priour Trail, L out of 2.5 Acres STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structure according to Section 13-26, (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 1929 Comanche, Priour Trail, L out of 2.5 Acres. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 2925 Greenwood Main Structure & Detached Shed El Rey, Lot 11, Block 5 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow repairs due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed unanimously to accept the staff recommendation and allow repairs to the main structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete the repairs of the main structure and to allow demolition to the detached shed according to Section 13-26 (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the detached storage shed located at 2925 Greenwood, El Rey, Lot 11, Block 5. If repairs or demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. • NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 2406 John- Main Structure-Shoreline Park, Lot 7, Block 2 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Oscar Soliz APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms.. Sanjines and passed unanimously to amend staff recommendation and allow repairs to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and ninety (90) days to complete the repairs or thirty (30) days to complete demolition of the property located at 2406 John, Shoreline Park, Lot 7, Block 2. If repairs or demolition are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. Mr. Soliz is required to attend the February 28, 2002 meeting with a progress report on repairs. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. McGuire, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 909 Lolita,Laguna Acres,W/2 of Lot 15, Block 5. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structure according to Section 13-26, (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 2023 Marguerite, Neyland Col Mex, Lot 7, Block 5. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony,refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 2821 Rogers —Main Structure &Detached Storage Room-Carver 2, Lot 15,Block 7 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the main structure and detached storage room according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 2821 Rogers, Carver 2, Lot 15, Block 7. If demolition is not started and completed as required;the City be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 1701 Van Loan, Hillcrest, Lots 1 & 2, Block 6 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Joseph A. Wharton, Owner Reverend Bob Jones,Neighborhood Visions APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Sanjines and passed unanimously to table the case until the May 2002 hearing. Owner to apply for the next scheduled National Guard demolition or a City demolition grant. Owner must secure and r . board up the property and also take down guardrail or the whole stairwell to keep out transients. Vanderbilt-Main Structure & Detached Garage Arcadia Village,Lot 12, Block 19 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs to the main structure due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the main structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete the repairs of the main structure and to allow demolition of the accessory structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete demolition of the property located at 114 E. Vanderbilt,Arcadia Village, Lot 12,Block 19. If repairs or demolition are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish.
