The meeting was called to order by Chairman, D. Ray Jones at 1:33 p.m. in the Council
Chambers on the first floor of City Hall.
The meeting was opened by informing those that the appropriate notices have been sent
to the property owners and notices published in the newspaper. A visual presentation
showing the condition of each property was conducted by staff. The following are
summaries of action taken by the Board.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition due to the extent of deterioration

Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structure
according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances
allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the
demolition of the property located at 417 Judie, E 50' of W 150' of Lot 25, TR C,
Block G, Flour Bluff Estates. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the
city be authorized to demolish

Motion: Motion was made by Ms. Baca, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structure
according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances
allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the
demolition of the property located at 321 Louisiana,Del Monte, Lot 6, Block 6. If
demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish.

Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the structure according
to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty
(30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete the repairs of the main
structure to City Code Standards.and allow demolition of the detached garage according
to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty
(30) days to obtain a permitand thirty (30) days to complete the demolition of the
property located at 1253 Manchester, Manchester P1.,Lot 4,Block 3. If repair and
demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish.

unanimously to table the case until the May 2002 hearing to allow time for the owner to
submit an engineers report .

Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the main structure
according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances
allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty(60) days to complete the repairs to
City Code Standards.and to allow demolition of the detached carport/storage structure
according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances
allowing thirty(30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete the
demolition of the property located at 1910 Palm,Nueces Bay Heights, Lots 13 & 14,
Block 8. If repair and demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be
authorized to demolish.

Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to amend staff recommendation and allow repairs to the main structure
according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing
thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and one hundred twenty (120) days to complete the
repairs of the main structure and to allow demolition of the accessory structure according
to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing thirty
(30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete demolition of the property
located at 1701 Peabody, E 60' & W 70' of Lots 1 & 2,Block 26. If repairs and
demolition are not started and completed as required,the City be authorized to demolish.

Motion: Motion was made by D. Ray Jones, seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the main structure
according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinance allowing
thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty(60) days to complete the repairs of the
property located at 5821 Shamrock, Cullen Pl.,Lot 31,Block 15. If repairs are not
started and completed as required,the City be authorized to demolish.

unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the main structure
and shed according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and thirty (30) days to complete
the demolition of the property located at 736 Virginia,Patrick Gardens, Lot 30 D. If
. demolition is not started and completed as required,the city be authorized to demolish.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs to the main structure due to the
extent of deterioration

Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed
unanimously to reverse the decision_of the board made on August 23, 2001 of demolition
and allow repairs to the main structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the
Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and one
hundred.fifty (150) days to complete the repairs of the property located at 1913 Shelya
Pineda Park,Lot 16,Block 4. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the
City be authorized to demolish. .

618 Ohio,Main Structure and Carport Lindale Park,w 20' of Lot 34, all of 35,Block 3
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs to the main structure due to the
extent of deterioration

APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: Sergio Villarreal
Motion: Motion was made by Ms. Guerra seconded by Mr. Garza and passed
unanimously to allow repaiis to the main structure and attached carport according to
Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30)
days to complete repairs of the main structure and attached carport and to allow and
interior view by March 8, 2002 of the property located at 618 Ohio,Lindale Park,W
20' of Lot 34 & all of Lot 35,Block 3. Board will hold a special hearing in 30 days to
check on progress.

Election of new Chairman: Motion was made Mr. McGuire, seconded by Mr. Garza
and passed four votes out of five (hand count)to elect Beverly Baca as new Chairman.
