Huerta, Secretary The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Beverly Bacak, at 1:32 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall. The meeting was opened by informing those that the appropriate notices have been sent to the property owners and notices published in the newspaper. A visual presentation showing the condition of each property was conducted by staff The following are summaries of action taken by the Board. The Board elected Beverly Bacak as Chairman 2033 Briarwood Main Structure&Attached Garage Glen Arbor,Block 1,Lot 3 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 SCANNED P.O.Box 9277 • Corpus Christi,Texas 78469-9277 • (361)880-3000 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structures according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty(30) days to obtain a permit and thirty(30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 2033 Briarwood, Glen Arbor, Block 1,Lot 3. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 2701 Countiss Main Structure Highway Village 2, Lot 16, Block 9 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the structures according. to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete the repairs to City Code standards for the property located at 2701 Countiss, Highway Village 2, Lot 16, Block 9. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony, refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 5226 Curtis Clark Gardendale 2, Lot 31, Block 3 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow repairs due to the extent of deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Juan Zapata Jr. APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Spiker, seconded by Mr. McGuire and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the structures according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete the repairs to City Code standards for the property located at 5226 Curtis Clark, Gardendale 2, Lot 31,Block 3. If repairs are not started and completed as required,the City be authorized to demolish. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to amend staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances . allowing thirty(30)days to obtain a permit and thirty(30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 804 Eleanor, Seikel,Block 5,Lots 43 &44. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to accept staff recommendation and allow repairs to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and sixty (60) days to complete the repairs to City.Code standards for the property located at 6730 Everhart, Club Estates Unit 1,Lot 28,Block 11. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish. Cody. APPEARING IN FAVOR: Dorothy Barnes, Owner APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Mr. Spiker and passed unanimously to amend the staff recommendation and allow repairs to the structures according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus. Christi Code of Ordinances allowing sixty(60) days to obtain a permit, Fourteen (14) days to secure the building and reappear before the Board at the August 28, 2003 hearing with a progress report for the property located at 4513 Nicholson. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the City be authorized to demolish. APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to accept the staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty(30)days to obtain a permit and thirty(30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 1704 Peabody,Hillcrest,Block 35,Lots 3 & 4. Community Development Department. 8202 Vetters Main Structure and Detached Garage Perry Place 2, Lot 6, Block 5 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To grant repairs due to the extent of Deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to allow repairs to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1),*(a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty(30) days to obtain a permit and sixty(60) days to complete the repairs to city code standards of the property located at 8202 Vetters, Perry Place 2,Lot 6,Block 5. If repairs are not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish NOTE: For detailed information on testimony,refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 736 Virginia Main Structure and Shed Patrick Gardens Lot 30 D STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition due to the extent of Deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: 0 APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to to accept the staff recommendation and allow demolition to the structures according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty(30) days to obtain a permit and thirty(30) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 736 Virginia,Patrick Gardens, Lot 30D. If demolition is not started and completed as required, the city be authorized to demolish. NOTE: For detailed information on testimony,refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 0 2608 aka 2606 Coleman Summit, Lots 19 &20 Block 3 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition due to the extent of Deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Joe Hansler, Owner Victor Medina, Engineer APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Ms. Guerra and passed unanimously to reverse the board decision of November 14, 2002 and allow repairs to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty (30) days to obtain a permit and three hundred sixty five(365) days to complete the repairs to city code standards of the property located at 2608 aka 2606 Coleman, Summit,Lots 19 & 20,Block 3 and allow demolition to the detached restroom according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty(30) days to obtain a permit and sixty(60) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 2606 Coleman, Summit,Lots 19 &20,Block 3. If repairs and demolition is not started and completed as required,the city be authorized to demolish. • NOTE: For detailed information on testimony,refer to the tape retained on file in the Community Development Department. 8201 S.Padre Island Dr—Main Structure&Detached Storage Shed Summit,Lots 19&20 Block 3 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: To allow demolition due to the extent of Deterioration APPEARING IN FAVOR: Gary Zars, Representing the Owner APPEARING IN OPPOSITION: 0 Motion: Motion was made by Mr. Garza, seconded by Mr. Spiker and passed unanimously to reverse the board decision of November 14, 2002 and allow repairs to the structure according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (a) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing sixty (60) days to obtain a permit and fourteen(14) days to secure the structures of the property located at 8201 S Padre Island Dr,Peary Place 1,Lot 30, Block A, and allow demolition to the attached storage room according to Section 13-26 (G), (1), (c) of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances allowing thirty(30) days to obtain a permit and sixty(60) days to complete the demolition of the property located at 8201 S. Padre Island Dr., Peary Place 1,Lot 30, Block A. If demolition is not started and completed as required,the city be authorized to demolish.
