Chairperson, Connie Gutierrez called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. and verified the necessary
quorum.
1. EXECUTIVE SESSION UNDER SECTION 551.071 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT
CODE REGARDING COMMERCIAL PROGRAMMING DEFINITIONS UNDER THE
RULES AND PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC ACCESS CABLECASTING AND CABLE
COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION GUIDELINES
2. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION OF AN APPEAL TO THE CITY COUNCIL BY
ROLAND GARZA, PUBLIC ACCESS PRODUCER, REGARDING THE CABLE
COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION'S DECEMBER 17,2007 DECISION REGARDING
PUBLIC ACCESS PROGRAMMING — Lisa Aguilar wanted to confirm with the
Commissioners who would be present during the February 12, 2008 City Council meeting.
Connie Gutierrez, Carolyn Moon and Joan Veith stated they would be present. Steve West
explained if there was an approximate timeframe the City Council would hold the hearing, he
could be present, otherwise,he would not able to step away from his job during the whole day.
3. STAFF UPDATES—Annie Leal introduced Bernice Lopez to the Commissioners and explained
that she will be helping out until there is a replacement for Holly.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT—none
5. COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS—none
6. ADJOURNMENT— Steve West motioned to adjourn. Carolyn Moon seconded the motion. All
Commissioners approved.The meeting adjourned at 12:15p.m.
