Comment
Meeting Discussion:
Review of Amanda Stukenberg asked members present for
County Draft comments regarding Dr.Galvan's recommendations.
Study
It was determined that the board should discuss and
decide whether they support Dr.Galvan's study as a
whole or only to use the recommendations they are in
support of.
Michelle Thomas noted that she supported being a
health district as opposed to a City/County health
department.
Amanda Stukenberg proposed to delay the discussion
until next scheduled meeting.
Director's Dr.Burgin went over the Director's report in Annette Director's report attached.
Report Rodriguez's absence. He also added the following:
• Health district will be involved in a
bioterrorism exercise in November
• Ongoing meetings and preparation for
hurricane preparedness
• The City Engineer will provide non-flood
routes to physicians and nurses in the event
of an emergency
• Health district involved in litigation of an
oral polio lawsuit
Board Amanda Stukenberg inquired on the status of hiring a Margie Rose noted that the
