MAYOR'S FITNESS COUNCIL (WITH CLEAN CITY/COMMUNITY PRIDE)
DISCUSSION 0 Discussed research findings — (Most advanced bans were in California.)
• Acknowledged YDC as another youth organization to eventually link with.
• Discussed policies that "Kick Butt."
• HW: Jot down ideas of true reasons to push a tobacco-free park policy.
• Compared aspects of our potential policy to other policy packets.
• Discussed city-owned locations that have great amounts of litter.
• Explored the idea of no smoking at bus lines. (As in Tyler, TX)
• It is important to set exact boundaries of where people may and may not smoke. (30 feet, 60 feet, etc.)
• Next step is to join with the Mayor's Fitness Council to draft the policy.
