Guy Nickleson called the 576ie Civil Service Board hearing to order at 9:13 a.m.
Item#1: Review and approve the minutes of the 575th Civil Service Board hearing
held on July 17,2015.
Item#2: Review and approve changes to the Civil Service Board Rules and
Regulations.(Meeting originally scheduled July 31,2015)
Tammy McDonald makes a motion to approve the minutes of the 575`h Civil Service Board hearing.Guy
Nickleson seconds the motion.
Chairperson Nickleson reads Agenda Item#2 and it is discussed amongst the board members.
Article IV,Section 4.Conduct of Hearings,Letter D,#6 is discussed.A motion is made by Ms.McDonald
to allow only one closing statement from the parties.The City will go first for the closing statement and
then the employee.No other arguments will be made after the closing statements.Chairperson Nickleson
seconds the motion and it is approved.A motion is made to amend
Article IV, Section 4. Conduct of Hearings, D. General Purpose is discussed.A motion is made by Ms.
McDonald to exclude the witnesses through an entire hearing, with an exception of the Department
designee.
Article IV,Section 3 is discussed.A motion is made by Ms.McDonald to amend Letter D so that all board
members must be present for a hearing to be conducted.Chairperson Nickleson seconds the motion.
Tammy McDonald makes a motion to approve all changes discussed.Chairperson Nickleson seconds the
motion.
576'Civil Service Board hearing is adjourned at 9:55 am.
