Item#1: Review and approve the minutes of the 483rd Civil Service Commission
meeting held March 12, 2007.
Cynthia C. Garcia asks the Commission members to review the minutes from the last
commission hearing held March 12,2007.
Chairperson Silvas and Vice-Chairperson Butler ask to sign the same copy of minutes.
Item#2: Designate the City Secretary as the Public Information Coordinator for the
Civil Service Commission.
Deanna Galan states the City Secretary has asked all Boards and Commissions name the
City Secretary as the Public Information Coordinator. Cynthia C. Garcia states according
to policy, all open records requests are taken at the City Secretary's office. They are then
forwarded to Legal who then forwards them to the appropriate department.
Chairperson Silvas makes a motion to designate the City Secretary as the Public
Information Coordinator for the Civil Service Commission and Vice-Chairperson Butler
seconds the motion.
. Chairperson Silvas states there is no further business adjourned the meeting at 2:19 p.m.
