Chairperson Bonilla called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM.
Chairperson Bonilla read Item#I from the agenda.
Item#1: Review and approve the minutes of the 492nd Civil Service Commission meeting
held March 7,2012.
Commission Member Saenz made motion to approve the minutes and Board Member Lutz seconded.All
Members agreed.
Chairperson Bonilla read Item#2 from the agenda.
Item#2: Review and consider the appeals submitted by Anthony Sanders, of question
#21 from the Police Captain promotional examination administered on August
10, 2012.
Yasmine Chapman read the question being appealed, all possible answers for the question,and the
recommended action given by the test creator.
Chairperson Bonilla requested Anthony Sanders to present his argument for the appeal,he presented
his argument for the appeal.
Chairperson Bonilla stated for the record that no else was present in support or against the appeal.
Chairperson Bonilla announced that the meeting went into closed session at 9:06 AM pursuant to the
authority Section 551.074 of Texas Open Meetings Act to discuss the appeal.
At 9:08 AM Chairperson Bonilla announced that the meeting was back on the record.
Chairperson Bonilla asked the Commission Members if there is a motion.
Commission Member Hector Saenz made a motion to deny the appeal and Member Lutz seconded.
All Members agreed with the decision.
Chairperson Bonilla announced the following:
Item#2-Appeal Denied
Chairperson Bonilla adjourned the meeting at 9:09 AM.
