Guy Nickleson read the items on the agenda. Item #1: Review and approve the minutes of the 4991h Civil Service Commission hearing held on July 31, 2015. Item#2: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter 11, Thomas Cruz, Firefighter 11, #9 from theFirefighter II Engineer examination administered on September 17, 2015. to #3: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter 1, Arturo Caceres, #15 from the Firefighter 11 Engineer examination administered on September 17, 2015. Item #4: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter I, Arturo Caceres, #19 ftom the Firefighter II Engineer examination administered on September 17, 2015. Item #5: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter 1, Ryan Reagan, #23 from the Firefighter II Engineer examination administered on September 17, 2015. to #6: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter II, Philip Bonura, #32 ftom the Firefighter 11 Engineer examination administered on September 17, 2015. Member Tammy McDonald made a motion to approve the minutes and Grivich seconds the motion. Minutes were approved. Chairperson Nickleson read Its #2 from teagenda. Yasmine Chapman read the question being appealed, question#9, all possible answers for the question, and the test creator's response to deny this appeal. Yasmine Chapman read the question being appealed, question#23, all possible answers for the question, and the test creator's response to deny this appeal. Chairperson Nickleson asks for the Firefighters to present their arguments. Firefighter 1, Ryan Reagan presented his appeal to question#23. Other firefighters argue the question is verbatim and support the test creator's decision. Chairperson Nickleson read Item #6 from the agenda. Yasin Chapman read the question being appealed, question 932, all possible answers for the question, and the test creator's response to deny this appeal. Firefighter 11, Philip Bonura is not present to present his argument. Chairperson Nieldeson read Item #7 from the agenda. Item #7: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter 1,Arturo Caceres, Firefighter 1, Ryan Reagan, and Firefighter 11, Gabriel Gonzales,#33 from the Firefighter 11 Engineer examination administered on September 17,2015. Firefighter I, Arturo Caceres, presents his argument against the test creator's response. Firefighter I, Ryan Reagan, and Firefighter 11, Gabriel Gonzalez present their argument next. Firefighter 1, Ryan Easter, rebuts the Firefighters argument and supports the test creator's decision. Chairperson Nickleson read Item #8 from the agenda. Item #8: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter 11, Philip Bonura, Firefighter 1, Ryan Easter, and Firefighter II, David Lopez, #34 from the Firefighter 11 Engineer examination administered on September 17,2015 Yasmine Chapman read the question being appealed, question 434, all possible answers for the question, and the test creator's response to accept all answers as correct. The Firefighters have no argument. Closed session is called at 9:47 am. Open Session is called at 10:04 am. A motion is made by Tammy McDonald to deny appeals to question #9,#15,#19, #32, #33, and approve all answer choices for number#34.
