Guy is is called the meeting to order at 9:04am.
to #I: Review and approve the minutes of the 502"1 Civil Service Commission
hearing held on April 8, 2016.
Member Tammy McDonald made a motion to approve the minutes, Mr. Nickleson seconds the
motion. Minutes were approved.
Sylvia Guzman read Item #2 from the agenda.
to #2: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter 1, Sean Williams,
question #21 from the Firefighter EMS II examination administered on June
30, 2016.
Mr. Nickleson explained the protocol to Firefighter I Sean Williams & Firefighter David Franco.
Sylvia Guzman read the question being appealed, question 421. all possible answers for the
question, and the test creator's response to deny this appeal.
Firefighter 1, Sean Williams, presented his argument against question#2 1. There is no one
present to support or rebut Mr. illi 's argument.

A motion is made by Rixio Medina to deny appeals to Item 2, question 21. Item 3, question
5, Item , question 27. Item #5. question #41. and Items 46. question # 53.Chair I ickleson
seconds the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
