Call to Order: Meeting Called to order at 4:30pm II. Approval of Minutes: Eric Newman motioned to approve the minutes January 27, 2016 Paul Gottemoller seconded and minutes passed. IV. Public Comment: None V. Business for Discussion and Possible Action: A. Discussion and possible action on Committee initiatives,including Picky Pete update:The committee discussed the Picky Pete program and wanting a more quantitative approach to the recycling education.They also discussed the possibility of utilizing more sponsors.There was some discussion about changing Picky Pete and having the schools pick their mascots. B. Discussion and possible action of upcoming events:The committee discussed a change to the ordinance that would require recycling at events. Ms.Turner suggested to have the Parks and Recreation committee make a resolution.The committee suggested inviting Stacie Talbert, Interim Parks and Recreation Director and Laura Gonzales Jasso, Special Events Manager to attend one of the committee's meetings to discuss. C. Discussion and possible action on committee participants: Celina Pulcher discussed who was still a part of the committee and the member's terms. D. Discussion and possible action of committee branding: Mr. Gottemoller suggested that Picky Pete should be branded with the committee's logo and the city's logo. Right now, there is nothing that identifies him to the city. In addition, the committee suggested that the program should be incorporated with the CIS educators. VI. Meeting adjourned at 5:23pm
